Sublimation Inks

Sublimation ink is based on the dye sublimation printing process, in which heat, and pressure are used in a way that turns the ink directly into a gas. The high temperature allows the ink to transfer onto items without migrating, cracking, or smudging, as the ink becomes an integral part of the printed product and does not fade or wash off over time.

The sublimation inks series we offer are designed to enable inkjet transfer printing onto synthetic fibres, including polyester and mixed fibres with a minimum of 80% of synthetic yarn. Developed with sustainability in mind, these inks enable reduced water and energy consumption.

Printing Process

There are two steps involved in using sublimation inks to print textiles.

An inkjet printing platform is used to print a design onto transfer paper and Then, depending on the cloth, the ink or pattern is transferred to it using a heat press or a calendar that maintains a temperature between 180°C and 220°C.

Recommendations

It recommended to let the product achieve operative specifications in terms of temperature and humidity 24 hours or more before using, paying attention not stirring it, and use the product as recommended. Temperature range should be between 20-25°C and the Humidity range should be between 40-80%.  The printed paper must be transferred hot, through calendar or flat press, at a temperature between 180-220°C during a varying time, between 30” and 190’’.
